AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine officials are working on a plan for protecting against mosquito-borne diseases.

The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry was directed by lawmakers to develop the plan in cooperation with the Department of Health and Human Services.

WMTW-TV says lawmakers are expecting results by December.
