Central Maine Power is reporting nearly 7,000 customers in nine counties without power this morning after a series of powerful thunderstorms swept through Maine overnight.

By 6:15 a.m. Thursday, there were still 528 customers without power in Cumberland County, 142 in York County and 259 in Kennebec County. Knox County had the most outages with 4,365.
