
Marcia married Curtiss D. Mead on October 6, 1953, and travelled extensively with her husband during his military career, living in Florida, Panama and Bermuda before settling in Brunswick in 1958. Mr. Mead died June 22, 1991.
Mrs. Mead had been employed at Springer’s Jewelry in Bath, Sears & Roebuck and the former Band Box Cleaners.
She enjoyed making crafts, being active with People Plus, going on senior bus trips and also enjoyed watching golf and the New England Patriots.
She is survived by her son David Stilphen and his wife Dawn of Brunswick and 3 grandchildren, Troy, Shana and Scott and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta, with the Rev. Mark Rockwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011.
Arrangements are in the care of Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. For those unable to attend, condolences to the family may be expressed at www.brackettfuneralhome.com.
