FREEPORT — Freeport Community Services is accepting nominations for the Carol Kaplan Memorial Community Service Award.
The award is named after the long-time general services director for the town.
It is given annually to an individual who has demonstrated positive effects on the clients of Freeport Community Services or the organization itself. This person must also have given tirelessly towards the mission of Freeport Community Services.
The deadline for nominations is Oct 15. Nomination forms are available at the Freeport Community Center at 53 Depot St.
