BRUNSWICK — Mary H. Sandelin, 70, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Maine Medical Center.
She was born on April 4, 1943, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Mary and William Mokeler.
She completed training for her LPN nursing license in 1963, the same year she married Erik H. Sandelin, her husband of 50 years.
She enjoyed working with the elderly and worked for more than 20 years at Dionne Commons in Brunswick until her retirement in 2012. She continued to volunteer there until April 2013.
She also loved bowling with her league friends for over 35 years. Her favorite hobbies included reading and cooking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Erik, and her children Teresa Birrer and husband Gregory of New Jersey and Erik M. Sandelin and wife Heather of Brunswick, along with four grandchildren, Mary, Nathaniel, Samuel and Ciaran.
She is also survived by 2 sisters, 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews.
