She was one of four sisters and five brothers whom all passed before her. Jean and one of her brothers, Sal, often sang together singing to Frank Sinatra and big band hits. Jean’s brothers and sisters would often accompany them on stage. After one of her performances she met her late husband, Joseph Bivona backstage and after a 5-year engagement they married on Sept. 4, 1943.

Jean lived with her husband, Joseph in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY, where Joseph after serving in the Navy worked as an electrical engineer for the Board of Education.

They had one child, Anne- Marie Fisher, who passed away Oct. 24, 1991. After Jean’s husband retired they moved to St. Petersburg, FL. She cared for Joseph until his passing in 1991. Jean then moved to Bath, Maine, to be with her daughter and two grandsons.

The joy of her life was family and God. Jean was known to everyone as “Gram” and anyone who knew gram can say she certainly lived all of her 95 years.

She leaves behind a grandson, Joseph M. Fisher and his wife Misty and their three children, Shiloh, Giorgia and Joseph, along with her many nieces, nephews, cousins and especially her close friends.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m., 144 Lincoln St., Bath, to celebrate her wonderful spirit. Interment will take place following the celebration at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath.
