BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College women’s soccer team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament in selections announced Monday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (11-3-1) will play Christopher Newport (14-3-2) in a first round game Saturday at Montclair (N.J.) State University.
Montclair State will play Colby-Sawyer (19-3) in the other game at the regional. The second-round game will be played on Sunday.
More information, including game times, ticket information and live coverage will be announced.
Bowdoin suffered a 2-1 setback to Tufts in the quarterfinals of the NESCAC Tournament in a game played Nov. 2. It will be the second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament for Brianne Weaver and the Polar Bears, who advanced to the second round of the tournament last fall.
This will be the ninth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
