Cases of local interest heard in Cumberland County courts in October.

Sarah Allard, 24, of New Gloucester, guilty of theft, with priors, sentenced to three years in jail, all suspended, and two years probation, for an incident in New Gloucester on May 25, 2012.

David J. Anderson, 28, of Durham, a charge of speeding 30+ mph over the limit was pled to another charge, for an incident in Freeport on June 17.

Kevin M. Basford, 36, of Portland, parole violation on an April 19, 2011 theft charge, sentenced to two years in jail, all but seven days suspended, two years probation, and $90 restitution, for an incident in Brunswick.

Casey Bernardini, 25, of New Gloucester, guilty of criminal trespass; guilty of two charges of burglary; guilty of two charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, for incidents in Gray on Aug. 9, 14 and 17.

Dyllan A. Borora, 22, of Boothbay Harbor, guilty of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, sentenced to 90 days in jail; guilty of two charges of violating condition of release, sentenced to 90 days in jail, for an incident in Brunswick on Aug. 14.

Omar P. Brown, 22, of Bronx, N.Y., a charge of speeding: 30+ mph over the limit was pled to another charge, for an incident on Brunswick on June 16.

Dorell Carter, 24, of Boothbay Harbor, guilty of endangering the welfare of a child, sentenced to seven days in jail, for an incident in Brunswick on May 19, 2011.

Abraham M. Chipman, 36, of Brunswick, guilty of refusing to submit to arrest or detention, using physical force, unconditionally discharged; charges of failure to stop for an officer and driving to endanger were pled to other charges, for an incident in Brunswick on Aug. 6, 2012.

Mitchell Cooney, 19, of Brunswick, a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer was pled to another charge, for an incident in Brunswick on May 14.

Devon M. Davis, 26, of North Yarmouth, guilty of violating condition of release, sentenced to three days in jail, stayed until Nov. 15; guilty of operating under the influence, $700 fine, license suspended 90 days, sentenced to seven days in jail, stayed until Nov. 15, for an incident in North Yarmouth on July 21.

Colby Blair Dwyer, 18 of Brunswick, guilty of criminal mischief, $100 fine; a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer was pled to another charge, for incidents in Brunswick on May 14 and May 29.

Nathan A. Elwell, 23, of Topsham, parole violation on a June 16, 2011 unlawful possession of a scheduled drug charge, sentenced to 110 days in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued, $110 restitution, for an incident in Brunswick.

Adam R. Fickett, 32, of Topsham, guilty of operating a vehicle while license suspended or revoked, with priors, $750 fine; guilty of refusing to submit to arrest or detention and refusing to stop, sentenced to three days in jail, stayed until Nov. 9, for an incident in Brunswick on Aug. 20.

Heather Fontaine, 28, of Bath, charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, with priors, and criminal trespassing, were pled to other charges, for an incident in Brunswick on April 28.

Paul A. Gilber, 26, of Hopedale, Mass., a charge of operating under the influence was pled to another charge, for an incident in Freeport on June 30.

Elton Goldman, 24, of Brunswick, guilty of two charges of criminal mischief, sentenced to seven days in jail for each, for an incident in Brunswick on Oct. 23.

Jordan Griffis, 20, of Brunswick, charges of a minor consuming liquor on July 26 and burglary on May 9, were pled to other charges, for incidents in Brunswick.

Kaitlyn Marie Jones, 25, of Litchfield, guilty of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, sentenced to 364 days in jail, all suspended, one year probation; charges of aggravated forgery and theft by deception were pled to other charges, for an incident in Brunswick on Sept. 19, 2012.

Patrick J. Lakin, 44, of Gray, guilty of OUI, operating a vehicle while license suspended or revoked, $800 fine, seven days in jail, stayed until Oct. 21, license suspended for one year, for an incident in Gray on May 5.

Adam William Libby, 30, of Freeport, guilty of operating under the influence, $675 fine, license suspended 90 days; possession of marijuana, up to 1 1/2 ounce, offense committed, $350 fine; additional charges of operating under the influence and a charge of the sale and use of drug paraphernalia, were pled to another charge, for an incident in Pownal on June 6.

Chad Albert Logan, 29, of Bath, unlawful sexual contact, sentenced to the Department of Corrections for six years, all but 30 months suspended, eight years probation; unlawful sexual touching, sentenced to six months in jail, and two charges of assault, sentenced to six months in jail for each, for incidents in Brunswick on Dec. 25. 2012.

Nhon Sinh Nguyen, 35, of Portland, guilty of operating under the influence, $500 fine, license suspended for 90 days; a charge of operating under the influence, was pled to another charge, for incidents in Gray on August 31.

Rachel A. Parsons, 22, of New Gloucester, guilty of operating a vehicle while license suspended or revoked, $250 fine, for an incident in New Gloucester on Aug. 21.

Nicole L. Pelletier, 24, of Brunswick, guilty of assault, $300 fine; charges of terrorizing and obstructing the reporting of a crime were pled to other charges, for an incident in Brunswick on Dec. 21, 2011.

Fernando C. Saldana, 33, of Brunswick, a charge of operating under the influence was pled to another charge, for an incident in Freeport on June 24.

Stephen Shaffer, 26, of Camden, guilty of criminal trespass, sentenced to seven days in jail; charges of possession of marijuana, up to 1 1/2 ounce, and the sale and use of drug paraphernalia, were pled to other charges, for an incident in Brunswick on Oct. 23.

Leon E. Smith, Jr., 65, of Topsham, charges of patronizing the prostitution of a minor and assault, were pled to other charges, for an incident in Harpswell on March 14.

Craig Templeton, 55, of Kennebunk, a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, was dismissed, for an incident in Freeport on July 27.

Benjamin Travers, 37, of Cornville, guilty of operating a vehicle while license suspended or revoked, with priors, $500 fine, for an incident in Brunswick on July 3, 2011.

Mark A. Washburn, 26, of Bath, guilty of violating condition of release, sentenced to two days in jail; guilty of endangering the welfare of a child, sentenced to 270 days in jail, all but two days suspended, stayed until Dec. 1, one year probation, for an incident in Brunswick on June 22.
