FREEPORT – L.L.Bean is holding its annual Winter Carnival, Saturday, Jan. 18, and Sunday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at its Winter Sports Center in Freeport.
This event is free and will feature a wide array of activities, including snowshoeing and cross-country skiing with all of the equipment and instruction provided, a sledding hill, ice fishing demonstrations, winter camping demonstrations, kids’ snow carving, geocaching, horse-drawn sleigh rides and hot cocoa and music around a campfire. Real sled dogs will also be on hand.
Free shuttle transportation is required to L.L.Bean’s Winter Sports Center from L.L.Bean’s Bike, Boat and Ski Store.
Appropriate winter apparel and footwear are strongly recommended.
All activities are subject to change or cancellation. Dogs are not permitted at the event.
