I wish to express my sincere thanks to former Current reporter Duke Harrington for his coverage of South Portland, Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth over the past several years.

Duke’s reporting was thorough, interesting and fun to read. He covered many stories that the other newspapers often didn’t have the resources or interest to cover. Many of those stories would have gone untold if it hadn’t been for Duke.

Some of your readers may be unaware that Duke lives an hour and a half away from the Greater Portland area. I think that makes his tireless dedication to our communities all the more remarkable.

I wish Duke the best of luck and success in his future endeavors.
