Tibbitts was joined by members of a 4-H Club, who arrived last week on a Brunswick school bus, to visit all the animals in the barn.  Amy Cartmell, president of the Freeport Housing Trust, presents a plaque to founder Tom Kelley at the organization’s 25th anniversary meeting, held recently at Azure Cafe in Freeport. Kelley has served on the board of directors from the beginning. The Freeport Housing Trust is a  nonprofit corporation whose mission is to provide affordable housing opportunities for lower- and moderate-income households. Since 1989, Freeport Housing Trust has used loans and grants to leverage an initial gift of $550,000 to purchase and/or develop a total of $12 million worth of affordable housing properties.
