TOPSHAM — Mt. Ararat scored four runs each in the fifth and sixth innings en route to a 9-5 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference softball win over Lewiston on Monday.
The Eagles improved to 2-5 and visit Edward Little on Wednesday.
Trailing 5-1, the Eagles tied it up in the bottom of the fifth with Devon Hutchins supplying an RBI single, and Katelyn Cox and Hannah Reis delivering key singles.
In the sixth, Samantha Gonyea led off with a single up the middle and Maddy Wade reached on an error. Gonyea scored on a passed ball and Reis had a run-scoring groundball to plate Wade. Hutchins also reached on an error and scored on a Rhiannon Hersey double to right.
In the 10-hit Mt. Ararat effort, Reid and Cox had two singles each and Hersey a single and double.
For Lewiston, Lauren Belleau, Courtney Marquis and Kayla LaBonte had two hits each.
Kim Leslie (two innings, two strikeouts, walk) and Hersey (five innings, two strikeouts, four walks) pitched for the Eagles.
Makayla Girouard and Marquis took turns on the mound for the 0-8 Blue Devils with four strikeouts and no walks.
MT. VIEW 7
MORSE 5
Visiting Mt. View (2-6) scored two runs in the sixth to pull out a KVAC Class B win at Bath.
Dinah Bilodeau led the Mustangs with a single and a three-run home run in the second that put Morse (2- 6) into a 5-1 hole.
But, the Shipbuilders battled back, scoring four runs in the fifth to tie the game.
Lauren Chandler, Meghan Stover and Hope Faulkingham had two hits for Morse, which visits Belfast on Wednesday. Jacelyn McNeill chipped in a double, with a single each coming from Morgan Cram, Alesha Aucoin and Ali Gagnon.
LISBON 14
WISCASSET 1
Olivia Harrington and Arianna Kahler each had two hits to lead the Greyhounds to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the host Wolverines.
Lisbon (2-5 and slated to host Winthrop today) scored in all five innings in the Mercy Rule win.
Kipri Steele and Monica Austin had a double apiece for the Greyhounds, while Alyssa Hall earned the mound win with four strikeouts, no walks and three hits.
Abby Dunn took the loss for 1-7 Wiscasset, which visits Winthrop on Wednesday. She struck out two and walked four.
Hannah Campbell, Kayla Gordon and Dunn each singled.
