TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School eighth-grade baseball team played two games last week.
In a 7-5 win over Oxford Hills, Mt. Ararat took a five run lead early in the game, but Oxford Hills battled back to tie in the third inning.
The second game was at Tripp Middle School in Turner and the Eagles prevailed, 10-0.
The Eagles went through five different pitchers: Ryan Mello, Garrett
Moody, Nick Merrill, Blair Kopp, and Cam Grant.
Kyle Brennan, Nate Leslie, Mello, Merrill, Michael Rogers, Liam Huston and Ryan Glass all contributed key hits.
The defensive play of the game came from a standout catch by Cole Bryant on a hard-hit shot to right field to end the game.
