TURNER — On Wednesday, the Mt. Ararat Middle School eighthgrade softball team traveled to Tripp Middle School and lost, 9-8.
The Eagles led the entire game until the last inning when the Tripp team scored three runs.
Isabella Benner led the Eagles with a single, a double and scored a run. Natalie Ormsby had a single and scored two runs. Chloe Beattie, Kelsey Scannevin, Ryley Leech and Abby Kons each singled. Zoe Stilphen, Kate Graeff, Leech, Beattie and Kons all scored.
Morgan Johnson pitched five innings and gave up eight hits, had a strikeout and four walks. Ryley Leech pitched two innings and walked five, struck out one and gave up one hit.
The Eagles are now 4-3.
