TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School eighth-grade baseball team played its final two games of the season on Thursday and Monday.
First the Eagles faced Tripp at home in a 7-1 win.
Monday afternoon was the final game of the season against Bath, the only team which had beaten the Eagles this season.
This time Mt. Ararat prevailed 16-6 to run its record to 8-1.
Michael Rogers, Ryan Glass, Garrett Moody and Ryan Mello commanded the mound for an standout performance by all.
The Eagles’ bats came alive midway through the game and Nate Leslie, Mello, Rogers, Nick Merrill, Sam Alexander and Gideon Wheeler all had key hits.
A game against Oxford Hills was not rescheduled.
