FALMOUTH — No. 8 Cheverus won all three singles matches to beat No. 9 Massabesic 3-2 in a Western Class A boys tennis prelim on Wednesday at Foreside Fitness & Tennis in Falmouth.
The Stags advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face No. 1 Deering.
John Devine, George Burdi and Matthew McCormick all won in straight sets to down Massabesic’s Jacob Collupy, Justin Langlois and Kyle Duffy, respectively.
The Mustangs won both of the doubles matches, as Andrew Mongiat and Adam Marcotte won in No. 1 doubles, while Avery Ring and Chase Berry had to go to three sets to get the win in No. 2 doubles.
