Dale Martin Wallace, 62, died peacefully on June 18, 2014, at Togus VA Hospice with his devoted and loving family by his side. Dale was diagnosed with ALS a short time ago. Dale handled his diagnosis courageously and in his own way with the help of all the wonderful and compassionate doctors and caregivers at the VA Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Jim Schneid, Dr. Nate Harmon, Debbie, caregiver extraordinaire and to John Stansbury of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Dale was bom on July 3,1951, in Bath, Maine, the sixth son of Charles F. Wallace I and Ann-Elizabeth Colby. He grew up in Brunswick, served in the Marine Corps from 1968-1970 then returned to Brunswick. He married Lou Ann Thibodeau in 1974 and together they raised three children.

Dale owned and operated Dale Wallace and Sons Foundations/ Masonry for 35 years. He loved his children unconditionally and spent many happy years coaching them in youth sports, supporting their various activities and attending yearly father-daughter dances. There was nothing he would not do for his children and for that and his love, they are eternally grateful.

Dale was a lifelong supporter of many charitable organizations, always generous to those with less. Dale had a strong will which often served him well. He lived his life his own way. If you ever met Dale, you would remember him.

Dale is survived by his three children:
