RICHMOND — Marjorie Ellen Bond Poulin, 61, of the Parks Road, died peacefully on Aug. 25, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving friends and family.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1952, in Gardiner, Maine, the daughter of Laurence Bond Jr. and Alice Bond.

Marjorie belonged to many community organizations including Maine Health Information Management Association, American Health Information Management Association, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Marjorie also received the Spirit of America award her generous volunteerism with her local community.

Marjorie loved spending time at her home gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time with her beloved family. Her infectious smile and heart warming laugh made people feel special and comfortable with her whether they just met her or knew her for years. She believed in continuing education and was very proud to receive degrees from Mid- State College and Kennebec Community College.

Marjorie worked for 23 years for the Veterans Administration as Chief of Health Information and Management and Privacy officer where she received many professional achievement awards and accreditations.

She was predeceased by her parents Laurence and Alice Bond Jr. of Richmond. Marjorie is survived by her sons Chad Austin of California and Aaron Cunningham of Richmond and her husband Gary Poulin of Richmond; two brothers Gilbert and David Bond and four beautiful granddaughters Madison, Justice, Dakotta, Trinity Cunningham of Richmond.

Memorial visitation will be held at Kincer Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Sept. 3 with a funeral service to follow. A special celebration of life party will be held at the Richmond American Legion, Carding Machine Road, from 1 to 4 p.m. following the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Isaac F. Umberhine Public Library, Main Street, Richmond, where she loved to donate her time and books.

Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
