The Forecaster publishes every letter to the editor readers submit, as long as they adhere to our published guidelines. We also respond to all writers whose letters fail to meet those guidelines, which provides an opportunity to submit revisions. But because the volume of letters we receive increases dramatically in the weeks before Election Day, letters that fail to meet our guidelines will not be published and may not receive responses.

Election letters are limited to 150 words, and must be signed with the writer’s name, address and telephone number. They should be emailed to editor@theforecaster.net. The final deadline for these letters is Friday, Oct. 17.
