TOPSHAM — Hollie Imperator scored with 4:54 remaining in the first half as the Brunswick High School jayvee field hockey team slipped past rival Mt. Ararat, 1-0, on Saturday.
Margaret Dickinson picked up an assist on the goal, and Anna Webster made several saves for the shutout.
Brunswick (2-2-3) held an 11-2 edge in penalty corners.
Emily Austin, Lauren Grocholl, Emily Anderson and Elen Dugal played important roles in getting the ball into the offensive circle. Ketty Stinson, Faith Allen-Harris and Mackenzie Burrows had some key defensive stops.
Brunswick is slated to visit Messalonskee on Tuesday at Thomas College.
