Region Ten Tech opened with more than 270 students in September, including 14 enthusiastic future firefighters. “We are impressed with the ambitions of our first and second year students,” said Director Barry Lohnes. “They appear well prepared by our sending high schools to learn skills for lifelong employment, to jump start for college, or to train further in industry — each student is offered a tremendous opportunity.” Region Ten Tech, located at 68 Church Road in Brunswick, offers 12 technical programs to students from RSU 5 (Durham, Freeport, Pownal), Brunswick, MSAD 75 (Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham), with lesser numbers from Lisbon and the Boothbay Region. Members of the public are encouraged to visit, especially when students are engaged in their technical labs. Please visit the Region Ten website, or call Office Manager Kellie Gardner at (207) 729-6622.
