BRUNSWICK — Roger Louis Talbot peacefully went to meet The Lord on Oct. 2, 2014, at the age of 81 after battling recent health issues. His wife and son were by his side.

He was the youngest of 15 siblings with Louis and Rose Anna Talbot as parents. He attended the Brunswick School Systems and was a member of St, John’s Catholic Church.

He enlisted in the United States Army in June 1953 and proudly served our country for two years.

He married his best friend Adrienne Brillant on May 5, 1956.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, enriching them with his love and his sense of humor, and especially sharing in his granddaughters growing years.

He loved horseshoe playing, cribbage, card games, bingo, going to the casinos and watching his Patriot football team.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and The Evergreen Senior Club.

He is survived by his wife Adrienne; a daughter, Brenda; a son, David and his partner Valerie Hix; his granddaughters, Alicia Talbot and Moriah Flood, as well as many sisters and brothersin laws, several nieces and nephews and friends whose lives were all touched by Roger’s life.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.

In memory of Roger Talbot, the family requests, if you would like to make a memorial donation in his name to be made to St. John’s Parochial School, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick, ME 04011.
