I am writing in support of Alice Elliott, who is running for the Maine House of Representatives from District 55 — Richmond, Bowdoin and Bowdoinham.

Alice grew up in Maine, and learned what hard work means while helping in her father’s small town hardware store. She supports investment in small businesses as the engine of economic development and job creation in rural communities, and to build up our main streets.

Alice is also a Master Gardener, which she accomplished through the UMaine Extension Service. She grew her first vegetables as a nine year old, and it has been a passion ever since. As such, she supports investment in Maine farms as a component of food security for all Mainers, and as a source of job creation and economic development.

Alice believes that no one political party has a monopoly on good ideas, and Maine needs leaders who are willing to sit down and discuss their differences and work together to solve problems. There is too much at stake to let partisanship get in the way of working for the people of Maine. In Augusta, Alice will work across the aisle to create common sense solutions to move Maine forward.

Because Alice Elliott understands Maine people, and what drives us, and because she has seemingly boundless energy for her commitments — she is very well suited to represent us in the legislature. District 55 voters, please consider joining me in voting for Alice Elliott for Maine House.
