Burglary
Police responded to a report of a burglary at 7:54 a.m. Oct. 21 at Sunshine Too laundry on Bath Road. According to police, entry was made by breaking a window. A safe was broken into and an undisclosed amount of money taken. Police said the burglary likely occurred the previous night.
Arrests
Rebecca A. Puffer, 21, of Freeport, was charged at 12:45 a.m. Oct. 24 at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Old Portland Road with operating under the influence.
Curtis D. Snyder, 23, a transient, was charged at 1:40 a.m. Oct. 24 at the Brunswick Hotel and Tavern on Noble Street on a warrant from Newport Police for paying unpaid fines. According to police, Snyder was found sleeping in the hotel lobby by an employee, who notified authorities.
Summonses
A 17-year-old juvenile was charged at 7:38 p.m. Oct 22 with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, after police responded to a report of theft at Big Lots on Gurnet Road.
