
She was born in Topsham on Nov. 11, 1922, the daughter of Gideon J. and Josephine (Menard) Allard. She grew up in Topsham and attended St. John’s School and Brunswick High School.
Joan grew up in her family business, Allard’s Market, and when her dad took sick she bought the market and ran it for 12 years until 1966 when she closed the doors. Joan then worked for Royal Cut Rate in Brunswick.
On July 5, 1963, she married her soul mate Dominic E. Boucher and the couple resided in Brunswick.
Joan was a lady with a big heart. She loved her family, and they always came first. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and finishing a good book.
She is predeceased by her first husband, John W. Golden; sisters, Victoria Genovese and Exilia Allard; brothers, Albert, Roger, Benoit, Clement and Chanel. Joan was an active communicant of All Saints Parish, St. John’s Church.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Cemetery in Brunswick.
