Morse High School will be performing an autumn play for the first time, and the choice — Dracula — is a perfectly haunting choice for the Halloween weekend.
In a sort of sequel to the Bram Stoker horror novel, Mina is dead (except for a vampire version of herself) and the rest of the characters from the novel are either dedicated vampire hunters or under the influence of the Count.
At particular risk in this production is Lucy Steward, played by Alazhay Gagnon.

He also says that the end of the first marking period, and some attendant exams, takes place on opening day. “Maybe that’s why there has never been a fall play before,” he said with a laugh.

The students began rehearsing on the second day of school.
The show begins at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, at the Montgomery Theatre at Morse High. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
