With heartfelt sadness, the family of Jean Ann (Tucker) Rhinebolt would like to announce that she passed away peacefully at Mid Coast Hospital on Nov. 7, 2014. Jean was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Ontario, Ohio, the twin sister of Jack Tucker and the daughter of Harry and Myrtle Marie (Snyder) Tucker. She was the devoted wife of (Henry) Jack Rhinebolt, a Lieutenant Commander, Retired, and a proud member of the Seal Team Two in the U.S. Navy who passed away on June 19, 2010.

Jack and Jean were high school sweethearts who married shortly after graduation from Galion (Ohio) High School. They raised four boys, David, Daniel, Michael and John living in Virginia and North Carolina where Jack was stationed in the Navy. When Jack retired, they moved to Oxbow, Maine, where they lived for many years. Jean made many lasting friends while living in Oxbow, including Kay Currier and Rita Sherman.

Jack and Jean built a home in Phippsburg and moved there in 1996. Jean loved watching all college sports games, reading the local papers, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Jean was a kind and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor, and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Jean is survived by her loving sons Danny and his wife Ellen, John and his wife Mary Ann, and daughters- in- law Lorna Rhinebolt and Ann Currier. She also is survived her grandchildren, David and wife Holly, Michelle, Nicole, Jake, Bobby, Dustin, Nate, Ryan, Kristin, Racheal, and Jessica, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Jack, sons David and Michael, her twin brother Jack and his wife Elaine Tucker, and brothers Tom, Robert and Roy Tucker, and grandson Matthew.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at the Oxbow Congregational Church in Oxbow, Maine.
