BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School girls eighth-grade basketball team held rival Mt. Ararat scoreless in the first half en route to a 43-5 victory on Thursday.
The Huskies led 19-0 and 26-0 at the first two quarter breaks. Mt. Ararat picked up its five points in the third quarter, trailing 28-5 heading to the fourth.
Brunswick, which finished 13-1 and undefeated in the conference for two consecutive seasons, was led by Charlotte MacMillan’s 17 points. Anna Kousky added eight and Leila Serra six. The defense was led by Rian Sachs and Maggie Folsom.
