SPRINGVALE — Raymond J. Beaudette, 89, of Springvale, died at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015.
Ray-mond was born in Sanford on June 23, 1925 to Aristide and Marie (Gosselin) Beaudette.
He grew up in Springvale, where he attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1943.
In 1947, he married Angele Pinard, and together they raised three children and shared 64 years of marriage until her death in 2012.
Raymond was employed at Jagger Brothers in Springvale for 30 years, and he owned and operated R.J. Baudette Floor Sanding and Refinishing before he retired in 1987. He also served as a trustee for the Sanford Water District for many years.
Raymond enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, skiing and swimming. He also enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with family and friends. He was an outgoing and friendly man who liked to be around people.
Raymond was a devout Catholic and had been a communicant of St Thérése of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church.
He will be remembered as a hard working man who took pride in providing for his family and will be
dearly missed
He is survived by: three children, Paul Beaudette of Springvale, Elaine Jobling and her husband Douglas of Harrisville, Rhode Island, and Donald Beaudette and his wife Sheree of Saco; five grandchildren, Wendy Cyr of Massachusetts, Ryan Jobling of Rhode Island, and Evan, Blake and Julia Beaudette, all of Saco; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Jack Jobling of Rhode Island.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on today, Feb. 6th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 at St. Thérése of Lisieux Parish, Note Dame Church, located on Payne Street in Springvale. Interment will be in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.
