BIDDEFORD — Mary Ladakakos, 92, of Biddeford, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Biddeford on Aug. 1, 1922, a daughter of Louis and Kaliope (Goudou-ras) Ladakakos. She graduated from Biddeford High School.

Mary was employed by John Roberts, Inc. in Biddeford for many years. She also worked at Charlie’s Drive In in Old Orchard Beach with her two best friends, Chris and Stella.

She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.

Mary was known for her direct honesty and audible facial expressions. She would none the less give her shirt off her back for her family and friends.

She will be sorely missed by family, friends and her community.

She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Fontini.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Rhoda Conley, Carol Xanthopoulos, Steve Polideros and Mary Papoutsy; and by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Danny Conley, Steve Xanthopoulos, Elizabeth Peck and Alexa Cooper.

Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, with the Trisagion Prayer Service at 5 p.m., at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saco.
