PortFringe, Portland’s annual week-long fringe theater festival, will unveil its 2015 Show Schedule at a winter fundraiser — the Port- Fringe Katzenjammer — at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb 22, upstairs at Empire. The evening will feature live music and theater performances, a Bad Art silent auction, and the results of the PortFringe Selection Lottery.
Empire is one of several Arts District venues (with Portland Stage Company and Geno’s) hosting 100+ shows between Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 28. PortFringe 2015 will showcase new and exciting works from Maine as well as acts from around the country.
The PortFringe Katzenjammer line up includes two performances from Port- Fringe alum — The Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
Friday Saturday Sunday Theatre Company with “O Help Me, William Shakespeare, Thou Art My Only Hope,” and Little Red Rug restages their magically tiny “The Princess Bride!” There will also be live music from Woodshed Mystics, a photo booth, raffles, a cash bar, snacks, schmoozing and more for just $10.
