ARUNDEL — Selden “Bud” G. Crocker, 90, of Arundel, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015.

He was born in Lyndon-ville, Vermont, the son of the late Chester A. and Ruth M. Selden.

At the age of two he moved to Whitefield, New Hampshire where he grew up. There he met and married Marietta Pillsbury while they were working at the famous Mt. View House. This job took them to Phoenix, Arizona and Clearwater, Florida. When anticipating the arrival of their first child, they relocated to Whitefield where Selden worked for Met Life Insurance Co. He and his family moved to Boston where he worked for Forte Fairbairn Inc. and Wool Processors of Norwood, Massachusetts.

They later moved to Maine where he worked as a mobile technician throughout New England and Canada. Selden was active in the Bible Baptist Church where he became a deacon and taught Sunday School.

In 1981, they moved to Florida where he worked as chief of security at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida.

Later, they moved back to Maine to be closer to family.

Selden was an active hunter and fisherman. He was faithful and gracious with a never ending sense of humor.

He is survived by: his wife, Marietta (Pillsbury) Crocker; two sons, Selden Jr. and his wife Mary (Davino) Crocker of Kennebunk, and Dennis A. and his wife Shirley (Lamontagne) Crocker of Dayton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service in the spring in Dalton, New Hampshire.
