WELLS — On Tuesday, voters in Wells and Ogunquit approved a $24.3 million Community School District Budget for fiscal year 2016, which begins on July 1, according to preliminary election results sent to the Journal Tribune.

Wells residents voted 786-441 in favor of the budget, while Ogunquit residents voted 333-165 in the affirmative.

“I really appreciate both communities coming out and supporting our students,” Jim Daly, the interim superintendent for the school district, said in an email Tuesday night. “We are very lucky to have two great communities that support education like we do in the WOCSD.”
