BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College women’s tennis team was recognized with a school-record four All-Americans in awards announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Sophomore Joulia Likhanskaia was named as a Singles All-American and was joined by teammate junior Tiffany Cheng as a Doubles All-American. Senior Emma Chow and first-year Tess Trinka were also recognized as Doubles All-Americans.
Likhanskaia captured All- American honors in singles thanks to her runner-up finish at the NCAA Division III Championship this spring. She finished the spring as the No. 3-ranked player in the nation.
Cheng teamed with Likhanskaia to advance to the quarterfinals of the Division III doubles championship to earn All-American. The pairing finished the year ranked No. 15 in the nation.
Chow and Trinka earned All-American recognition thanks to a runner-up finish at the ITA New England Championship and a trip to the ITA Small College Nationals last fall. The pairing advanced to the semifinals of the Small College Nationals to automatically earn All-American honors.
