The Maine Association of USA Track and Field will hold its Junior Olympic championship and Region 1 qualifying meet Saturday at Scarborough High for athletes ages 7-18. The field events will begin at 9 a.m. and the running events will begin at noon. The triathlon, pentathlon, heptathlon and decathlon will start at 9 a.m., with the heptathlon and decathlon continuing at 8 a.m. Sunday. Athletes who are 18 or younger through Aug. 1 are eligible to compete. Individuals must registered with Maine USATF and can obtain a registration at the meet for $15.
