PORTLAND (AP) — A Portland man has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of burglaries over the past two weeks.
Portland Lt. James Sweat says 29-year-old Richard Coleman was arrested Saturday night and has been charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and other charges. Coleman has no known address.
Sweat says Coleman was charged with two of eight burglaries he is suspected of committing over 10 days in two residential neighborhoods.
He says Coleman was found with several stolen items, including electronics and cash, burglary tools and cocaine.
Coleman is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $16,000 bail. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
