BATH — The Senior All- Star girls high school lacrosse game was held recently at McMann Field.
The “Green” team came away with a 12-7 victory over the “Purple.”
Kayla Kelly of York and Emma Torres of Yarmouth had three goals each in the win, with Torres adding an assist. Yarmouth’s Shannon Fallon added two goals, while Mt. Ararat’s Rebecca Schuman picked up a goal, along with Bonny Eagle’s Hannah Litf, York’s Kara Kelly and Winslow’s Mackenzie Winslow. Mary Kate Walsh of Cheverus chipped in an assist, while York goaltender Olivia Golini made 16 saves.
For the “Purple” team, the Marshwood duo of Lindsey Poirier and Korinne Bobunsky each had three goals, with Bobunsky also picking up two helper. Ashley Mason of Lincoln Academy chipped in a goal, with Scarborough’s Bailey Adams adding an assist. South Portland goaltender Lily SanGiovanni had 15 saves, with Bohunsky winning her team’s Most Valuable Player award.
Schuman was selected as the “Green” team’s MVP.
The Flossie Smith Award went to Kennebunk’s Hannah Pepin.
Mt. Ararat’s Katie Labbay, Brunswick’s Anna McMillan, Shannah Duffy and Sydney Anderson, Morse’s Julia Hart, and Freeport’s Emily Johnson and Julia Dearden also played in the game.
Schuman and Labbay made the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference First Team, along with McMillan and Hart, while Duffy was selected to the Second Team. Johnson made the Western Maine Conference Second Team. Academic All-Americans were Dearden, Johnson, Schuman, Labbay and Hart.
