A new exhibit at ICON Gallery features paintings and woodcuts by Meghan Brady and sculptures in bronze, wood and stone by Tom Chapin. Brady holds art degrees from Smith College and Boston University; Chapin is described on his website as an autodidact who began working as a carpenter at age 18. Both are Maine artists who have exhibited at ICON previously. Both produce abstract creations, including this untitled one by Brady, of sharply defined geometric shapes and sinuous curves. The two-person show continues to Aug. 8 at ICON, 19 Mason St., in downtown Brunswick. The gallery is open afternoons every day except Sunday.
