BUCKFIELD (AP) — Police in Maine say one person was killed after a car collided with a tractor-trailer truck.
It happened at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Oxford County town of Buckfield near the intersection of Route 117 and Turner Street.
Police say the driver of the car died in the crash. His identity has not been released.
The truck driver was taken to Lewiston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Oxford County authorities say Maine State Police troopers are assisting them in their investigation of the incident.
Investigators say Route 117 will remain closed as they reconstruct the crash.
