BATH
Two men were arrested after the Bath Police Department and Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Office responded to a report of a fight at an apartment building on 45 Court St. on Wednesday.
At 5:45 p.m., officers found 30-year-old Logan Sewall of Bath outside, allegedly holding two knives and yelling toward the area of the apartment building.
Sewall was agitated, but complied when officers ordered him to drop his weapon, according to police. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, a Class E crime.
A male identified as Robert McKenney, 43, of Woolwich began yelling profanities and threats out of an apartment window to the officers and Sewall, said police. After several warnings, officers also arrested McKenney for disorderly conduct.
Police said witnesses stated that McKenney had assaulted Sewall and threatened him with a baseball bat, prompting Sewall to grab the knives.
Sewall was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear Oct. 6 at West Bath District Court.
McKenney was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon (a Class C felony), assault (a Class D misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct (a Class E misdemeanor.)
McKenny was unable to post the $1,000 dollar cash bail and was transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail, and is scheduled to appear Oct. 13 at West Bath District Court.
