DAYTON — Lisa Marie Pate Barden, age 50, passed away on Oct. 29, 2015, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Brighton, Massachusetts on March 7, 1965, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Sharon (Alley) Pate. She attended Thornton Academy and went on to graduate from the University of Southern Maine in Portland.

Lisa will always be remembered for the passion she had while working with children as a human services case worker with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Laura Pate.

Lisa is survived by: her children, Chelsea L. Daigle of Saco, and Katlyn M. Barden of Dayton; her partner, Eugene Phinney of Dayton; brothers, Michael Pate of Saco, Mark Pate of Saco, and Danny Pate of North Carolina; grandson, Gage Thatcher; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Goodwins Mills Advent Christian Church, located on Route 35. Pastor Russell Giasson will officiate.
