PORTLAND — Michael Eric Sawtelle, 40, of Portland and Manchester, New Hampshire, died peacefully Nov. 22, surrounded by family at Maine Medical Center in Portland, and after a long illness.
Sawtelle was born Oct. 31, 1975, in Columbia, South Carolina, to Gail and Michael Sawtelle. He also lived in Hong Kong and the Virgin Islands. He attended Hong Kong International and Londonderry High Schools and attended college at Plymouth State.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his extended family, including, Suzanne Sawtelle of Rhode Island, Linda Sawtelle of California, Sandy Hodge of Virginia, and Kathy Sawtelle of South Carolina, Rick Harrell of Garner, North Carolina, and Geraldine Sawtelle of Farnham Royal, United Kingdom.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 5, at 2 p.m., at the Deering Community Church in Deering, New Hampshire.
