Police caught up with Anthony Keith, 21, in Limerick Wednesday. The incident had taken place in Hollis earlier in the day.
Troopers arrived at a Hollis residence and were told that Keith had confronted his ex-girlfriend and her friends who were helping her move out of the home. Keith is alleged to have first threatened his former girlfriend and her friends with a baseball bat, according to a statement by police.
“According to witnesses Keith then pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot the subjects,” the statement said.
Keith was arrested and charged with Class C felony criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. The charge carries a maximum prison term of five years, upon conviction.
Troopers seized a Smith & Wesson .45 caliber handgun from Keith at the time of his arrest. He was taken to York County Jail and later released on $1,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Jan. 22 at York County Superior Court in Alfred.
