SOUTH BERWICK — Ryan O’Neil scored 33 points and Marshwood collected its first victory of the season Friday night, beating York 71-69 in a Class A South boys’ basketball game.

Dawson Casey contributed 17 points and five assists, and Ben Beers scored 14 points for Marshwood (1-2).

York (1-2) got 20 points from Trevor LaBonte, 18 from Spencer Cribby and 16 from Andrew Miller.

SANFORD 66, SCARBOROUGH 42: Brad Bouchard scored 23 points, including seven in the first quarter to get the Spartans (1-2) started in a win over the Red Storm (1-2) at Sanford.

Sanford made three 3-pointers in the first quarter on the way to a 19-5 lead.

Ethan Belanger finished 17 points and Matt Romano scored 10 for the Spartans.

Emmett Peoples paced the Red Storm with 14 points.

CHEVERUS 53, BANGOR 39: Austin Boudreau made three of his eight 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Stags (3-0) took the lead for good against the Rams (1-2) at Portland.

Trailing 23-21 at halftime, Cheverus outscored Bangor 17-11 in the third quarter.

Cheverus had a 43-15 rebounding edge.

Boudreau finished with 26 points. Jack Casale contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Logan Alley led the way for Bangor with 12 points.

YARMOUTH 58, WAYNFLETE 44: Musseit M’Barack led four Clippers in double figures with 18 points as Yarmouth (3-0) downed the Flyers (2-1) in Portland.

Yarmouth jumped out to a 12-5 first-quarter lead on M’Barack’s strong shooting.

Aleksander Medenica and Nolan Hegarty each scored 11 points, and Bailey Darling added 10.

Milo Belleau led Waynflete with 14 points, including four baskets from behind the 3-point arc.

CAPE ELIZABETH 60, MORSE 42: Jack O’Rourke scored 16 points and Finn Bowe added 12 to lead the Capers (1-2) past the Shipbuilders (1-2) in Cape Elizabeth.

Cape Elizabeth used transition baskets off half-court pressure to outscore the Shipbuilders 16-6 in the third quarter for a 46-32 lead.

Keegan McDonough scored 21 points for Morse.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 60, SACOPEE VALLEY 34: Kyle Keenan scored 21 points and Zach Haskell added 20 to lead Gray-New Gloucester (1-2) over Sacopee Valley (0-3) at South Hiram.

Haskell netted seven points in the first quarter and Keenan had nine in the second as the Patriots grabbed a 29-15 halftime lead.

WINDHAM 67, LEWISTON 60: Mike Gilman scored 27 points, and Nick Curtis had 16 points, eight assists and six steals to help the Eagles (1-2) beat the Blue Devils (0-3) at Windham.

Salat Hassan led the Blue Devils with 21 points.

KENNEBUNK 74, NOBLE 46: Zachary MacKinnon scored 27 points, and the Rams (2-1) used a 22-8 second-quarter run to pull away from the Knights (0-3) at Kennebunk.

Justin Wiggins added 16 points and Ryan Coughlan scored 13 for Kennebunk.

Noble was led by Brandon Davis with 22 points.

GORHAM 45, SOUTH PORTLAND 38: Billy Ruby scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Logan Drouin and Steve Burns added 10 points apiece as the Rams (2-0) beat South Portland (1-2) in Gorham.

Gorham trailed 27-24 at halftime but outscored the Red Riots 11-4 in the third quarter.

Jack Fiorini led South Portland with 10 points.

FALMOUTH 71, BIDDEFORD 41: Tom Coyne and Colin Coyne combined for 48 points as the Yachtsmen (3-0) cruised past the Tigers (0-2) at Falmouth.

Tom Coyne got 23 of his 30 points in the second half. His brother added 18 points.

Patrick Pearl led Biddeford with 10 points.

LAKE REGION 82, LINCOLN ACADEMY 62: Marcus DeVoe scored nine of his 18 points in the third quarter to help the Lakers (2-1) pull away from the Eagles (0-3) at Newcastle.

Lake Region led 41-32 at halftime, then outscored the Eagles 24-11 in the third quarter.

Jackson Lesure added 16 points for the Lakers and Tyler Walker scored 10.

Cody Tozier paced Lincoln with 21 points.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 47, LEAVITT 43: Oscar Heras sank a 3-pointer from the left wing for the go-ahead basket, then stole the ball and drove in for a layup as the Raiders (1-1) edged the Hornets (0-3) in Fryeburg.

Heras finished with 27 points.

MARANACOOK 57, POLAND 54: Kyle Wilbur scored 18 points as the Black Bears (3-0) held off the Knights (2-1) at Readfield.

John Fossett led Poland with 32 points. Caleb Hodgkin finished with 11.

TRAIP ACADEMY 51, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 45: Alex Foye scored 21 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Rangers (2-1) held off a late charge by the Panthers (0-3) at Yarmouth.

Coleman Pelkey added 12 points for Traip, which opened with a 19-5 run and led by 22 going into the fourth quarter.

Haven Cutko finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and six steals for NYA. Jake Malcolm had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

BOOTHBAY 57, MADISON 54: Abel Bryer scored 21 points and the Seahawks (2-2) rallied in the fourth quarter to edge the Bulldogs (3-1) in Madison.
