WATERFORD — Kaylea Lundin scored 13 points and Molly Merrifield added nine points off the bench to spark Gorham to a 50-37 win over Massabesic in a Class AA South girls’ basketball game Monday night.

Mackenzie Holmes also scored nine points and Michelle Rowe pulled down 12 rebounds for the Rams (4-0), who outscored Massabesic 11-3 in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

The game was tied 23-23 at halftime.

The Mustangs (0-3) were led by McKenzy Ouellette with 11 points and Madison Drain with 10.

BOOTHBAY 66, TELSTAR 21: Faith Blethen scored 15 points to lead the Seahawks (5-0) as they cruised to a win over the Rebels (0-5) at Boothbay Harbor.

Page Brown and Hannah Morley added 14 points apiece for Boothbay, which outscored the Rebels 34-5 in the second half.

RICHMOND 59, BUCKFIELD 11: Sydney Tilton finished with 13 points, six rebounds and six steals as the Bobcats (5-0) cruised to a victory over the Bucks (2-3) in Richmond.

Kelsea Anair and Kalah Patterson each scored 11 points.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

BOOTHBAY 80, TELSTAR 56: Abel Bryer scored 23 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, and Jacob Leonard added 20 points as the Seahawks (3-2) downed the Rebels (1-4) at Boothbay Harbor.

Leonard scored 14 points in the first quarter as Boothbay raced out to a 26-13 lead.

The Seahawks extended the margin to 45-25 at halftime.

Carter Babcock chipped in 11 with 11 points.

Telstar was led by Blake Rothwell with 14 points.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 50, PINE TREE ACADEMY 42: Jet Archer and Tim Yeaton scored 14 points apiece for the Guardians (2-1), who opened with an 18-6 run and held off a late charge by the Breakers (3-1) at Eliot.

Caleb LaCroix added nine points for Seacoast, which led 43-19 going into the fourth quarter.

Pine Tree was paced by Jalen Tamalea with 20 points.

A.R. GOULD 75, TEMPLE 59: Tyrese Collins finished with 25 points, 10 steals, eight assists and five rebounds for the Bears (2-2) in a win over Temple (0-3) at South Portland.

Eric Myers added 18 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for A.R. Gould, which led 37-33 at halftime.

Bradley Smith scored 43 points, including seven 3-pointers, to pace Temple.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 32, MADISON 30: Mat Foulke scored his only points on a putback at the buzzer, giving the Mustangs (2-2) a win over the Bulldogs (2-2) at Monmouth.

Madison led 30-27 before Hunter Richardson hit a 3-pointer with six seconds remaining. Luke Thombs stole the ensuing inbounds pass and missed the shot, but Foulke was there for the rebound and putback.

Richardson scored 12 points and Thombs had 11 for Monmouth.

Chase Malloy scored 13 points for Madison.

MARANACOOK 55, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 46: Kent Mohlar scored 15 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists as the Black Bears (4-0) beat the Phoenix (2-2) at Jay.

Kyle Wilbur finished with 19 points for the Black Bears.

Caulin Parker and Austin Darling each scored 12 points for Spruce Mountain.

WINTHROP 80, LISBON 37: Jacob Hickey scored 41 points, sinking 10 3-pointers, to lead the Ramblers (5-0) to a win in Winthrop.

Anthony Owens had 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Winthrop.

Jonah Sautter led Lisbon (3-2) with 19 points.

DIRIGO 87, MT. ABRAM 47: Riley Robinson scored 27 points to lead the Cougars (5-0) to a win at Salem.

Cooper Chiasson added 25 points for Dirigo. Dan Luce led Mt. Abram (1-4) with 28 points.

RICHMOND 64, BUCKFIELD 32: Zach Small scored 14 points and Cody Tribbet had 11 to help the Bobcats (4-0) beat the Bucks (1-3) in Richmond.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

CHEVERUS 7, BRUNSWICK 1: Cam Dube scored two goals and also had an assist for the Stags (2-1), who used a five-goal first period to take control against the Dragons (2-2) at Watson Arena.

Mike Hatch and Ryan McSorley each added a goal and two assists. David Woodford, Colby Anton and Marco Giancotti also scored for Cheverus.

Brunswick’s goal was scored by Jacob Doring, assisted by Michael Deveaux and Jacob Towle.
