WESTBROOK — A Sebago man faces three charges after a shooting Saturday morning outside a methadone clinic in Westbrook.

No one was hurt when the shots were fired into the ground outside CAP Quality Care clinic around 10 a.m. at 1 Delta Drive, a news release from Westbrook Police Chief Janine L. Roberts said

Police said they were told that the shooter had fled the scene in a silver Jeep Liberty with a passenger inside. The suspect, Nicholas Knight, 30, drove directly to the Westbrook police station after the shooting and was taken into custody. Police took possession of the weapon.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between Knight and another man. Knight fired several rounds into the ground before leaving the scene, police said.

Knight was being held Saturday night at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland. Jail officials said no bail was set because one of the charges was violating the conditions of a prior bail. Knight was also charged with criminal threatening and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.

The clinic provides methadone to drug addicts and is a rehab and heroin treatment center.
