The Chocolate Church Arts Center launches the Kill The Chill Winter Concert Series with rock and roll band The Howligans Friday. This music series will be held in the Annex of the Chocolate Church.
“As a community arts center, we are dedicated to showcasing local talent,” said Jennifer DeChant, CCAC executive director. “This series reinforces the connection between the performer and the audience in a house party type of atmosphere.”
The Howligans are a four piece rock and roll band from the Midcoast. The series also includes The Colwell Brothers
(blues) on Feb 6; Tim Rice with Chris LeVancher (jazz/folk fusion) on Feb. 19; American folk of Hilton Park on March 5; musician Ted DeMille (bluegrass) March 12; and concludes March 19 with songstress Lauren Crosby & Golden Oak (folk).
According to DeChant, seating is limited in order to foster the musical connection. Some concerts will have a dance floor and cash bar for adult beverages.
Each show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are only $10 for evening of entertainment. The Curtis Room is located in the Annex of the Chocolate Church Arts Center, located at 804 Washington St. in Bath. Call (207) 442-8455.
