BATH — Connor Upham, Aaron Lindel and Brogan Shaw led a second-half comeback as the Bath Middle School boys basketball team earned a 38-34 victory over Mt. Ararat recently.
Down by 17 points at one point, the Destroyers outscored the Eagles, 26-9 in the second half after trailing 25-12 at the break.
Upham had 16 points, Lindel six, and Brogan Shaw nailed two big 3-pointers to bring Bath back.
Boden Gould and Jordan Onorato played well for Bath.
Shane Tanguay led Mt. Ararat with 14 points, followed by Jonah Zell with 10.
In earlier action, Bath ran past Lewiston, 47-37.
After a 13-13 deadlock through a quarter, the Destroyers claimed a 21-20 halftime lead. A 15-6 scoring advantage in the third quarter made for a 36-26 Bath lead heading to the fourth.
Upham had a game-high 22 points in the win, with Max Brochu chipping in 16. Shaw and Onorato had solid floor games.
