PLYMOUTH, N.H. — The University of Southern Maine women’s indoor track and field team took the top spot among the five teams competing Saturday at the Plymouth State University Invitational.
The Huskies amassed 121 points to stand atop the podium at the end of the day. Franklin Pierce University took the runner-up spot with 91 points, and the University of Massachusetts Boston was third with 68.
Juniors Jasmine Boyle of Brunswick and Jazmyn Sylvester-Cross combined to give the Huskies a 2-3 finish in the 5,000 meters with their times of 19:50.69 and 20:22.41, respectively.
Junior Liz O’Neal of Brunswick tied for third in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.72.
Southern Maine will travel to the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday.
