Speaking of the Windham Historical Society, if you remember the Maine forest fires of 1947, you may be interested in a program Saturday, March 19, at 9:30 a.m., at the public library in Windham. Author and storyteller Jo Radner will present a program, sponsored by the historical society, with emphasis on the town of Brownfield, which was 80 percent destroyed. Sorry, wrong number

Last week’s column about the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office program called SNAP, a wellness-check program for senior citizens, included an incorrect phone number. The correct number is 774-1444, ext. 2100. You can call that number and get a free folder about this program, which is also free.
